“First Love,” one of the five songs in Japanese, was dropped in advance last month. NCT 127, a subunit to which the birthday boy also belongs, will release second Japanese EP “Loveholic” on Feb. It also remained on Billboard’s main album chart Billboard 200 for nine weeks. Both of NCT’s two installments of the album sold over 1 million units totaling up to 2.68 million. NCT was the second-most mentioned K-pop artist on Twitter in 2020 and its second full-length album, released November last year, topped the music chart in January for two consecutive months. The band’s official account tweeted “Happy Birthday to #Johnny We Heart You” with chocolate cake and green heart emojis.
In addition to the photo with the cake and a “thank you” message, he uploaded a series of pictures in which he spelled out “Thank You” with his body on his official Instagram account. Johnny of NCT posted a picture of himself holding a birthday cake to mark the occasion.
